SNOW!

Yep, winter has hit Anchorage! We skied at Hatcher Pass, north of Anchorage, last week, and I did intervals on the Spencer Loop on Wednesday. This afternoon I went for a distance ski on the Anchorage hillside. It was a beautiful evening for a ski...

Hey taz!! in my continuos search to share with my host-family pictures of Alaska and my inspirations I stumbled upon your ski blog :) The pictures are gorgeous and make me anxious for the snow to come here..of course lots of Norway has snow but Bergen gets a very short winter and we can only hope that it comes earlier and more frequently than normal. As I sit here, in my families cozy little cabin, watching the start of the Norwegian ski season in Beitøstolen, on tv, I read your blog post from January. There is something in me that longs to get on my skis and share the nervous butterflies, the burn in your lungs as you push yourself to ski faster and the thrill of knowing you gave it your very best and even if it hurt like hell, you loved every minute of it. I miss the snow, I don't have the patience you talk about....that is something I work for everyday; patience and dedication..I think I'll get there eventually. I don't perticularily think I can reach a high level of competition like you but skiing owns me and your post really spoke some of those feelings I've been having recently, thank you for being such an amazing person and influence :) I am so glad you and your entire family are part of my life! thank you :) hope all is well, keep enjoying the snow!! cheers, smiles and shared laughter!! <3 Morgan
